in Japanese:防災(ぼうさい)グッズとしてのハチミツのすすめ
Honey is an excellent preservative.
It should be kept in an emergency bag for evacuation after an earthquake or typhoon.
It can be a life-saving alternative and useful when you don’t have any medicine or in these cases. ↓
1.Lick it when you have a sore throat to prevent virus from entering your body.
2.Apply to the affected area on minor burns and scrapes to help them heal faster.
3.You can use it on your toothbrush to brush your teeth.
4.Lick the honey when you don’t have any food or don’t want to eat solid food and you will feel better.
Caution!
・Licking a lot at once makes you swell. Lick it a little bit at a time.
・Do not feed it to babies under one year of age.
However, if your baby does eat a little, it is rare that he or she will get sick. Don’t panic.
Remember the date your baby ate the honey in case of an accident.
It’s okay for a pregnant woman(with a baby in her tummy) to eat honey. It’s not harmful.
・Some people are allergic to honey. When they eat it, it can make them breathless and uncomfortable.
Before you give honey or a drink with honey to someone else, Always make sure them if they are allergic to honey or not.
Need to know about honey
・A tube of honey is useful enough. You can find it in supermarkets and convenience stores.
・Acacia honey is suitable for this purpose. It will not harden in cold weather.
・The bottled honey should be refilled in a plastic tube. Glass bottles are heavy, and can be dangerous if they break.
・You don’t need to refrigerate the honey. It won’t go bad even in the midsummer.
・It is not suitable for emergency food, the honey produced by Japanese honeybees, or processed fruit soaked in honey.Because when the temperature is high, they are ferment and bubble.
Thank you,
